What does DCS Design + Branding actually do?+
DCS is a specialist signage, branding and print company. We design, manufacture and install retail and corporate signage, vehicle branding, large-format print, environmental graphics - from single sites to national rollouts across South Africa.
Do you handle design, or do I need to supply artwork?+
Both work. Our studio can develop concepts, 3D visuals and production-ready artwork from your CI or a simple brief - or we can work from your supplied print-ready files. Either way, you approve visuals or proofs before anything is manufactured.
How fast can I get a quote?+
For most enquiries we return a quote within 48 hours. Complex, multi-site or engineered projects may need a site visit first - we'll tell you upfront and give you a date.
Do you install nationally?+
Yes, and we're set up for it properly. DCS now runs offices and production in both Durban and Gauteng, so we fabricate in both centres and install right across the country. Wherever your sites are, the work happens close to them, which keeps national rollouts fast and consistent. We coordinate multi-store programmes, including after-hours and live-store installs, from one point of contact.
Can you manage a full store rollout - signage and fit-out?+
Yes. DCS is part of the Colab Group, whose capabilities span shopfitting, manufacturing and retail fit-outs, with dedicated specialist teams in every major centre built for national roll-outs. For combined build-and-brand projects you deal with one team: the environment gets built and branded under one accountable programme.
What materials do you work with?+
Aluminium, ACM, acrylic, steel, timber, board and a full range of vinyls and print media. We fabricate in-house - including CNC and laser cutting, and finishing - so we can recommend the right material for the environment and budget rather than the one a supplier happens to stock.
Do you do illuminated signage and lightboxes?+
Yes - illuminated fascia signs, lightboxes, 3D illuminated lettering, pylons and monoliths, including LED conversions, repairs and re-lamping of existing signs.
Do you offer digital signage and digital display?+
Yes. DCS supplies, installs and manages digital display - digital signage, LED video walls, digital menu boards and window screens - with content management and maintenance. We also run in-store media networks and digital out-of-home (DOOH), so brands and suppliers can advertise on screens at the point of purchase. See our Digital Display offering.
How does vehicle branding work? Will it damage my paint?+
We use professional-grade cast and calendared vinyls applied by trained wrapping specialists. Applied and removed correctly, quality wrap protects paintwork rather than damaging it. We template per vehicle model, colour-manage against your CI, and can de-brand fleets at end of term.
What are your typical lead times?+
It depends on scope: simple print and vinyl can turn around in days; fabricated and illuminated signage typically runs one to three weeks. Every quote includes a committed lead time - and we hit it.
Do you offer maintenance after installation?+
Yes. We run maintenance and refresh programmes - repairs, re-lamping, vinyl replacement and rapid-response call-outs - so your brand estate keeps looking the way it did on install day.
